Liverpool’s transfer business is set to ramp up considerably after Sunday’s Premier League title lift.
The Reds have moved quickly to put themselves in a position of strength ahead of the window opening and look likely to complete several early deals.
Jeremie Frimpong’s move from Bayer Leverkusen is simply a matter of time after the Dutchman reportedly completed his full medical tests this week.
After Frimpong, there have been reports that Liverpool want to target a left-back, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez the preferred option.
As Rousing The Kop exclusively revealed, Liverpool were hoping to tie up a deal for Kerkez in the days after Sunday’s final match of the Premier League season.
However, there should still be room for caution with the deal not yet completed.
And according to journalist David Ornstein, Liverpool should still be wary of outside interference.

Kerkez has emerged as Liverpool’s top choice to provide competition for Andy Robertson next season.
The Hungarian has had a super campaign on the south coast and could be a perfect fit as Robertson’s long-term successor.

However, Liverpool are still assessing options such as Wolves’ Rayan Ait Nouri and according to Ornstein, there is a small chance the Reds do have to pivot.
“It’s not done,” the journalist said during a Q&A with readers of The Athletic.

“Liverpool are his priority, and he is their top target, but they will have other options, too.
“It’s not advanced club-to-club yet, but clearly that can change at any point — if Liverpool (or anyone else) are ready to offer the sort of money Bournemouth are seeking.
It is expected that he moves this summer, but that doesn’t mean it’s imminent.”
Kerkez joining Liverpool this summer has been starting to feel like an inevitability for a little while now, so perhaps it’s good to get a reality check on the situation.
With Bournemouth looking for around £45m for Kerkez, it’s clear that there will be cheaper options on the market for Liverpool if they are not happy with the price.
And although Ait Nouri is perhaps one of those options, it has also been reported that Liverpool could sign Jorrel Hato from Ajax if the Kerkez deal cannot be struck.
Hato would represent a more raw option for the Reds but is incredibly highly rated in the world of Dutch football.
It seems Kerkez will remain the priority for now but, as ever, Liverpool will not be held to ransom.
