Liverpool are currently overseeing a record-breaking transfer window.

Coming off the back of a Premier League title win, Liverpool are providing Arne Slot with a squad to not only retain that title but potentially add more silverware to the collection on top of that.

Three first-team additions have been made this summer already, as Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and club-record signing Florian Wirtz have made the move to the Reds.

Giorgi Mamardashvili also became a new addition to the squad after initially being signed last summer before remaining at Valancia on loan for the 2024/25 season.

Despite the money spent, Liverpool are far from done, with more additions nearing completion.

Hugo Ektitike from Eintracht Frankfurt is edging closer to being finalised, as the talented French forward looks set to hugely strengthen Liverpool’s attack.

Alexander Isak to Liverpool is also another attacking reinforcement that continues to be discussed, but it will only accelerate if Newcastle agree to sell the player, not to mention it will need a English record bid to even attempt to close a deal for the Swede.

The situation surrounding Luis Diaz is an area that continues to worry Liverpool after the Colombian expressed his desire to leave the club this summer.

As a result, Liverpool have began to line up suitable replacement if Luis Diaz does leave the club this summer, amid ongoing interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

A player who would definitely be a suitable replacement is Real Madrid winger Rodrygo Goes, who has fallen down the pecking order after Xabi Alonso’s appointment.

The Spaniard appears to not have the Brazilian in his plans, and that has opened the door for a potential exit.

According to Football Espana, Liverpool are currently the side most likely to move for Rodrygo, but it will depend on any potential departure of Luis Diaz.

Arsenal were the side more heavily linked with the Brazilian in recent months, but after making moves for Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal have withdrawn their interest in the Real Madrid star.

Rodrygo Goes’ price tag could also prove to be a stumbling block, with prices between 80m and 100million euros being quoted recently, but Real Madrid find themselves in a weak negotiating position due to Rodrygo finding himself outside of the starting XI with Alonso.

Liverpool continue to dominate the transfer headlines this summer, as they continue to show real signs of intent for next season to go and win it all.
