Liverpool officials have reportedly asked the Premier League for an explanation over the use of VAR in their game against Everton, which ended 2-2.

The second controversy involving VAR was about Jordan Henderson’s late goal.

There were two major VAR controversies, one towards the start of the match and one towards the end.

In the first half, Toffees keeper Jordan Pickford took out Virgil Van Dijk with a seemingly dangerous tackle when going for the ball in his own box.

The third is VAR’s selection of the freeze frame for the disallowed goal.

The first is why Pickford wasn’t sent off for his dangerously high challenge on Van Dijk.

The second is which part of Mane’s body was deemed offside.
