Luis Diaz has reportedly emerged as the top summer target for Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, with the club possibly on the lookout for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo's contract at Al-Nassr expires at the end of June and he suggested that his "chapter" with the Saudi side is over in an Instagram post earlier this week.
Ronaldo's exit from the club could soon be officially confirmed, and Al-Nassr will, of course, be keen to sign a marquee name to replace the Portugal international.
Ronaldo is the most famous soccer star on the planet, so it will simply not be possible for Al-Nassr to replace him with someone of a similar stature, but Diaz — who talkSPORT says is a top target for the Saudi club — would certainly be capable of making a big impact on the field.

Diaz is out of contract at Liverpool in 2027, and it was reported earlier this month that the Reds had planned to hold contract talks with Diaz in order to bring his salary in line with with its other top players.
Diaz is currently on the same terms that he agreed when he signed for the club in January 2022.
But he was an important player for Arne Slot's team this season and Sky Sports claimed that Liverpool was set to offer a deal that reflected his status.
According to Capology, Diaz currently earns £55,000 ($73,000) per week, which is significantly lower than players of a similar standing in the squad.
Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Federico Chiesa are all reported to earn more than double the amount that Diaz takes home, and Diaz could be forgiven for finding that galling given Chiesa has barely played all season and the Colombian has scored more goals than Gakpo, Nunez, and Jota.

Both Barcelona manager Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco have spoken highly of Diaz of late, as the Blaugrana eyes a new left winger for its squad.
"We like Luis Diaz, we like Rashford… and we like other wingers too," Deco said
"We can't talk about players under contract with other clubs."
Flick, meanwhile, said: “I don’t want to speak about players which are not in my team, but of course Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford are fantastic players
