Liverpool and Jarrod Bowen seem written in the stars at the moment.

From Jürgen Klopp admitting his admiration for the Premier League star, to Bowen confessing he 'looks up to' Mohamed Salah, the media flirtations have created palpable anticipation among Liverpool supporters.

Bowen was linked with a move to Anfield over the summer, with the West Ham star then reported to be valued at around £35m, but nothing concrete materialised.

Of course, £60m is a steep sum for Liverpool to pay, given the club have only broken that record twice — once for the transfer of Virgil van Dijk, once more to bring in Alisson Becker.

Not only does Bowen possess the ideal profile to provide back-up and push for a starting berth should he make the transfer to Liverpool, he also has the potential and the ability — as well as the attitude — to improve, in order to replace the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané in the long-term.

That understanding could stretch beyond the pitch, too, with Bowen represented by the same PLG agency as the Liverpool full-back duo.

Certainly, it cannot hinder Liverpool.
