Liverpool are edging closer to the transfer deadline with two significant deals still in progress.

Both Alexander Isak and Marc Guehi are currently undergoing medicals ahead of their proposed moves from Newcastle United and Crystal Palace respectively.

Liverpool have agreed a British-record £125million deal for Isak's transfer over the weekend - the striker arrived at the AXA Training Centre on Monday morning for his medical.

However, there are certain rules that they must adhere to ensure a deal sheet is successfully recognised.

When does the transfer window close?

The 2025 summer transfer window shuts at 7pm on Monday, September 1.

Once it has been filled out, that club is then given an extra two hours after the deadline to seal a transfer.

This system was introduced into the Premier League in 2008 due to a number of transfers collapsing due to paperwork issues.
