Liverpool remain interested in Alexander Isak but a deal might be difficult (Image: Getty Images)
Liverpool would ‘love’ to continue their summer splurge with the signing of Alexander Isak - but they have encountered a huge problem.
Newcastle sensation Isak is a name that has been linked with Liverpool in the past, and according to The Telegraph, the Swede is a player that the Reds would ‘love’ to sign.
But it is detailed that Liverpool ‘almost certainly’ have no chance of signing him this summer.
Newcastle would want to bank over £150m for their star forward this window - and that is a fee that seems hard for Liverpool given their huge spending so far.
As it stands, nothing is imminent between the Reds and Newcastle, with discussions over Isak - both formal and informal - not even being held at this stage.
Meanwhile, Isak appears to be satisfied with life at St James’ Park.
