Liverpool chairman Tom Werner opens up on the club’s goals ahead of the new season.
Liverpool are currently focusing on rebuilding the squad as both the incoming and departure lists are turning out to be longer than expected.
The Premier League champions already confirmed their fourth signing this Thursday as they unveiled Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez as the latest addition to the squad.
The Merseysiders have also announced their record-breaking signing of the season—Florian Wirtz—who arrived at Anfield for a club-record £116m fee from Bayer Leverkusen.
Alongside that, Jeremie Frimpong was announced as the first signing for the Reds last month, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Arne Slot didn’t stop there.
And as reported by DaveOCKOP, Liverpool are also closing in on signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.

Slot is also looking to bring in a striker, and Newcastle forward Alexander Isak might be one of the options Liverpool could consider.
The club’s chairman, Tom Werner, was asked last month whether it’s going to be a busy summer, and he replied, “It’s already busy.”
Tom Werner said: “It is an exciting time right now but we wake up every day and I keep using the word ’relentless’.”
He also added: “We want to win more trophies, we don’t want to just appreciate what we have done.
We are hungry to be more successful and what is exciting is that the league is tremendously competitive and we think it will be a challenging season.”
Despite winning the Premier League last season, Liverpool faltered on the European stage, losing in the UCL Round of 16 to Paris Saint-Germain.
Winning the Champions League might be the success Liverpool are aiming for in the 25/26 season.
