Liverpool are reportedly open to selling striker Darwin Nunez for around €60million (£51m) this summer, despite previously rejecting a higher bid from Saudi Arabia.

The 25 year old Uruguayan had a lacklustre season with the newly crowned Premier League champions and is expected to depart Anfield, with talks of a move already underway.

Despite a £60m offer from Al-Nassr in January, Nunez has shown no interest in moving to the Saudi Pro League at this point in his career.



However, with a record-breaking £116m deal for Florian Wirtz in progress, player sales may be necessary to fund any further acquisitions.

Following a campaign where he made a mere eight Premier League starts under Arne Slot, Nunez is reportedly considering a summer transfer to revive his career.

Despite uncertainty over Nunez's interest in a Serie A move, joining either of these top-tier clubs would enable him to maintain his presence in elite European football, reports the Mirror.

Nunez earned praise from Slot for his role in the Reds' title challenge, where he showed professionalism by accepting his limited playing time without dissent.
