Liverpool may not have completely parted ways with Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer, but they’ve already got their eyes on a flying full-back, Jeremie Frimpong.

As per Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are moving quickly in talks to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, with early discussions already underway.

And Frimpong, who has been lighting up the Bundesliga with pace and precision, is now top of the wishlist.

The Dutchman’s release clause — set at €35 million — is active, and Liverpool are exploring how to trigger it.

Sources (via DAVEOCKOP) say the Reds are negotiating the payment structure while also holding talks with the player’s representatives, who are now in the UK.

The 24-year-old isn’t just fast — he’s rapid.

After their title-winning campaign, they tried to extend Frimpong’s deal without a release clause but had to settle for keeping him another year — with the current clause now in play.

Liverpool, who have been here before with Szoboszlai’s release clause two years back, could repeat that trick.

And with Frimpong’s strong links to Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, and Ryan Gravenberch, he may settle faster than Liverpool’s transfer team logs out of Zoom.

The club is still scouting other right-back options like Monaco’s Vanderson, but Frimpong seems to be racing ahead in the pecking order — fitting for a player built like a right-back on turbo mode.
