Liverpool are closing in on the signing of 16-year-old Derby County midfielder Kaide Gordon, who has also attracted the attention of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Talks are ongoing between the Premier League champions and the teenger and the Reds appear to be in pole position to agree a deal.
Gordon has already made his senior debut for Derby, coming on as a substitute in the Championship in December and he has earned high praise from manager Wayne Rooney.
‘Kaide is a fantastic player and he has got a lot of potential,’ said Rooney.
‘He has come through the academy. He is 16, he has got a lot of development to do and he is definitely at the right place to do that.

Gordon can play across the front line and as an attacking midfielder and has been capped for England at Under-18 level.
The Rams have won their last two games in the Championship but are still struggling in 21st in the division as Rooney looks to avoid relegation in his first season in management.
