Liverpool defender Owen Beck is reportedly close to joining Championship outfit Derby County on loan for the 2025-26 season.

The 22-year-old has spent the last three seasons on loan at Blackburn Rovers, Dundee United and Bolton Wanderers.

The Telegraph reports that the Rams, who narrowly avoided relegation to the third tier last term, are "close" to agreeing a deal with Liverpool to sign the promising left-back on a temporary basis.

If a deal is agreed, Beck would be reunited with John Eustace, the manager who signed him at Blackburn Rovers last season.

The defender made 24 appearances under Eustace at Ewood Park during the 2024/25 season before the 45-year-old left the club to join Derby County in February.

The Wales youth international, the great-nephew of Liverpool legend Ian Rush, joined Liverpool from Stoke City as an under-13s player more than a decade ago.

After signing his first professional contract in June 2020, Beck made his debut for the Reds in a League Cup tie at Preston North End a little over a year later.

Over the last three seasons, Beck has had loan stints at Famalicao, Bolton, Dundee and Blackburn.

During his time at Dundee, Beck was named in the PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year.

Beck has less than one year remaining on his current deal with the Reds.

He is one of a number of young players who could leave on loan this summer.

It comes with Liverpool close to sealing the £79million signing of Hugo Ekitike.

The 23-year-old France striker is set to undergo a medical today (Tuesday) with Eintracht Frankfurt having agreed a deal that will net the Bundesliga side a guaranteed £69m with £10m in possible add-ons.
