Liverpool have lost one of its backroom staff after just one year of working at the club.

It has been a summer of sweeping changes at Anfield both on and off the pitch.

The club promised a busy summer and so far, it has been a classic busy summer.

Among first-team players, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit opened the summer.

He has since been joined out of the exit door by the likes of Nat Phillips,
Caoimhín Kelleher, Vít?zslav Jaroš and Harvey Davies.

On the flip side, Jeremie Frimpong, Armin Pecsi, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Freddie Woodman have been announced as summer additions.

Several other names have been linked with a potential move to Anfield still, with over two months left till the transfer window shuts.

Away from the first team players, there has been a few changes among the coaching staff and backroom staff at Anfield.

John Heitinga has been the biggest loss for Arne Slot this summer.

The former Liverpool assistant coach has taken up a permanent coaching job at Ajax, leaving just one year after joining the club.

Another exit has now been confirmed, with Liverpool coach Diogo Pavia announcing he has left the club.

The Portuguese worked as the club’s technical skills coach at the academy this past year.

But he has announced his departure from the club after just one year.

In a parting message that was posted on his LinkedIn on Friday evening, Paiva thanked the club for granting him his leave, writing: “Dear Liverpool Family, this club has been more than just a place to work.

It is a great club that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Other members of the club coaching and backroom staff that have left are Liverpool U21 coach Barry Lewtas and Liverpool’s first team physiotherapist Steve Lilley.

Meanwhile, it has not all being about exits for Liverpool.

The club poached Tottenham’s Tika Musonda, who joins the Reds as a global talent scout after three and a half years at Spurs and two at Chelsea, while former Liverpool star Stewart Downing has also joined the club as a global talent scout.
