Liverpool have announced the signing of Freddie Woodman.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper has agreed to sign a contract with the Reds following the expiration of his deal at Preston North End later this month.
An official statement from the club reads: "A former England U21 international, Woodman made 138 appearances during his three-year spell at Deepdale, winning the club's Player of the Year award for 2022-23.
"The 'keeper has also previously represented a handful of other clubs in England and Scotland, including Newcastle United, Swansea City and Kilmarnock.
Woodman will begin pre-season training with Arne Slot's squad when they reconvene at the AXA Training Centre next month."
Woodman, who's Liverpool's fifth signing of the summer, will provide cover for Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili between the sticks.
As an 'Association Trained Player', he won't take up one of the Reds' 17 non-homegrown slots on the UEFA squad list.
This is a developing news story that will be updated with relevant information as we get it.
