Liverpool have confirmed the departure of Caoimhin Kelleher to Premier League side Brentford in a deal that could bring in £18million.
Kelleher was approaching the final 12 months of his contract with the Reds and had made clear his intention to leave this summer in search of regular first-team football having been understudy to Alisson Becker.
And Brentford have moved swiftly to snap up the Republic of Ireland international to replace Dutch keeper Mark Flekken, who on Tuesday moved to Bayer Leverkusen for around £11m.
Liverpool will receive an initial £12.5m for Kelleher, with add-ons taking the overall fee to £18m.

But Kelleher will now play for Thomas Frank's Brentford, where he will link up with former Liverpool team-mates Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho, who both made the switch to the London side last summer.
Kelleher, who was signed from Ringmahon Rangers on 2015, made 67 appearances for Liverpool - keeping 24 clean sheets - after coming through the Academy ranks and making his senior debut in September 2019.
