Liverpool have officially released their retained list ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 campaign, confirming a series of changes within the club’s Academy structure.

Liverpool have confirmed the exit of seven young players as part of a significant shake-up within the Academy.

The club’s youth teams faced a tough season, with the under-21s knocked out in the first round of the Premier League 2 play-offs and the under-18s finishing near the bottom of their division.

Among those leaving, midfielder Dominic Corness and goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski stand out as the most prominent departures.

Corness was known for his technical ability and leadership in the youth ranks, while Ojrzynski, now 22, made the bench for Liverpool’s Premier League win at Sheffield United back in February 2021.

Joining them in leaving the club are Louis Enahoro-Marcus, Harry Evers, Lee Jonas, Jacob Poytress, and Reece Trueman.

These departures signal Liverpool’s intent to refresh their Academy setup and pave the way for a new generation of talent.

While Liverpool says goodbye to several Academy players, the club is also showing confidence in a group of young prospects by offering them new contracts ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Among those rewarded with fresh deals are Kareem Ahmed, Emmanuel Airoboma, Keyrol Figueroa, Kyle Kelly, Michael Laffey, Wellity Lucky, Terence Miles, and Ranel Young.

By securing the futures of these promising youngsters, the Reds aim to build a stronger foundation within the Academy and continue developing players capable of stepping up to senior football in the years to come.
