Liverpool confirm boardroom changes

Liverpool have announced several changes to their board of directors.

Two new appointments will sit on the Anfield club’s statutory board in chief financial officer Jenny Beacham and legal and external affairs officer Jonathan Bamber.

Beacham becomes the first woman to join the Reds’ boardroom under owners Fenway Sports Group’s leadership.as part of the new seven-person contingent.



It has also been confirmed that Billy Hogan will leave the board but continue to serve as club CEO while still handling his responsibilities in FSG’s international arm.



Also stepping down is managing director Andy Hughes, who will retire from the Premier League champions at the end of this season after 13 years’ service.

Hughes has been responsible for the legal and regulatory requirement for board-level engagement with the club’s Supporters Board which Bamber will now assume.

FSG figureheads John W Henry, Tom Werner and Mike Gordon remain on the board alongside Michael Egan and non-executive director Sir Kenny Dalglish.
