Liverpool have officially confirmed Freddie Woodman as their latest signing on a free transfer (via reports by Liverpool FC).
The 28-year-old goalkeeper joins after running down his contract at Preston North End, where he impressed over three seasons as their first-choice stopper.
Woodman brings Premier League experience and a track record of consistency to Anfield.
His career also includes stints with Newcastle United, Swansea City, Kilmarnock and England’s Under-21s.

The new arrival will report for pre-season training with Arne Slot’s squad next month at the AXA Training Centre.
Liverpool see Woodman as valuable cover behind Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili in a season that will demand reliable depth in every position.
Woodman also counts as an ‘Association Trained Player’, which helps Liverpool maintain balance in their squad registration for domestic and European competitions.
That status means he won’t take up a non-homegrown slot on the UEFA list, a useful factor as the club finalises the summer rebuild.
His signing follows the arrival of Milos Kerkez, whose £40 million move earlier this week pushed Liverpool’s summer spending past £200 million.
The Reds also landed Armin Pecsi and Florian Wirtz, reinforcing multiple areas of the squad ahead of a fresh title defence.
Liverpool supporters can expect to see Woodman feature prominently in pre-season fixtures, as he settles into a group already strengthened by several high-profile additions.
