Liverpool has confirmed the new squad numbers for its seven summer signings, including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Milos Kerkez, while two senior players have also changed numbers from last season.]
The Reds deferred confirming which jerseys the new signings would take when their arrivals were confirmed earlier in the window, but made the announcement on Friday to tie in with the launch of the new Adidas kit deal.
Liverpool confirmed Wirtz, the club's new record signing, will take no.7, which was vacated by the outgoing Luis Diaz earlier this week.
The German previously wore no.10 at Bayer Leverkusen and took to social media earlier this summer to deny reports he would take that shirt from Alexis Mac Allister.
Meanwhile, Ekitike has been handed 22 by the Reds.
He wore 11 at Eintracht Frankfurt last season, a shirt currently held by Mohamed Salah, while he occupied no.22 during a season at Stade Reims.
Kerkez has taken the unusual decision to wear no.6, which hasn't been held since Thiago left last year.
No.3, his number at Bournemouth, has already been assigned to Wataru Endo.
