Although many have expected the Frenchman to make the move for some time now, he’s only just completed his medical tests and is waiting to be officially announced.

“He will probably be here, today is Wednesday, maybe on Friday, he will get here?

I expect it to all be done today, maybe official confirmation later today, UK time, maybe tomorrow, but it’s all done, nothing to worry about there,” he said via The Redmen TV’s Daily News Update.

Although Ekitike’s move to Liverpool is well-needed, it’s still a massive risk on the Reds’ behalf.

The 2024-25 campaign was the first time that the Frenchman managed to score over 15 goals in a season.
