Liverpool have a number of factors to consider when choosing their next manager - including how much compensation they would need to fork out.
As reported by the ECHO on Thursday night, Xabi Alonso is unlikely to become Liverpool’s next manager with the Reds not expecting the Spaniard to be available this summer.

Payment to a club for a coach counts towards Financial Fair Play, so any fee would likely take a chunk out of the spending budget.
But be it Roberto De Zerbi or Ruben Amorim, FSG would be required to meet the contract-break demands of their employers, with Alonso seemingly out of the frame.
Amorim is perhaps the candidate who Liverpool would encounter least resistance with.
De Zerbi has also been touted for roles at Napoli and Barcelona while Brighton & Hove Albion are, of course, Premier League rivals so would bump up their premium.
Amorim may be the more attractive prospect football-wise too, given his achievements with Sporting Lisbon.
The 39-year-old guided Sporting Lisbon to their first Portuguese title for 19 years in 2021 and is currently leading the race for the current crown.
De Zerbi plays eye-catching football and is Premier League acclimatised but has also suffered heavy defeats to Roma, Aston Villa and Fulham this season.
That is actually less than the £21.5m Chelsea paid Brighton for Graham Potter but the sum would make Amorim the second most-expensive Premier League manager transfer.
Of course, inflation means prices have risen over the past decade but Liverpool forked out £5m to Swansea for Brendan Rodgers in 2012.
