Whilst the pre-FIFA Club World Cup transfer window has thrown up plenty of things for Liverpool supporters to become excited about, there is one new lingering question they will want putting to bed as soon as possible.
That would be the future of Luis Diaz, specifically if he is to be sold this summer or indeed if a long-term solution can be found.
The Colombian, 28, was key to Liverpool's 2024/25 Premier League title success with 17 goals and eight assists in all competitions - his best return in a season since signing for the Reds in January 2022.
This has resulted in ballooning popularity amongst the Anfield faithful, though with two years remaining on his current contract there lingers the question whether the club would be better off cashing in sooner rather than later.
Applying pressure are Barcelona, with the Spanish club's sporting director Deco recently admitting that they hold an interest in Diaz and now they are financially secure to act upon this.

Barcelona target is boost for Liverpool
Barca's public opinion of Diaz has been the key source of chatter around the winger as the transfer window opened, but he is not the only option the La Liga champions could move for.
As well as Manchester United's Marcus Rashford being mentioned in the picture numerous times, now Fabrizio Romano reports on the availability of Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman.
The Frenchman was a player Barca's manager Hansi Flick coached previously at Bayern with their relationship believed to be strong
He was linked last summer but did not move, now the latest word is that Coman is 'set' to leave Germany this summer.
Whether Barca are amongst the 'informed' parties waiting to make a move or not remains to be seen, but Liverpool would gladly accept if he was viewed as an alternative to Diaz, who they could look to keep hold of.
Al-Nassr question
Unfortunately, this does not deal with the Reds' Al-Nasser-shaped problem.
Tied to Diaz's future would appear to be Cristiano Ronaldo's, with the 40-year-old linked with a move from the Saudi Arabian club to one featuring in this summer's new FIFA Club World Cup.
It is speculated that if he moves, officials in the Gulf state will step up interest in Liverpool's No.7.
Saudi publication Arriyadiyah outlines that this coming Sunday, June 8, there is going to be a meeting between Al-Nassr club chiefs to discuss a multitude of subjects, including players such as Ronaldo and if they are not going to commit their long-term future to the project.
