Marc Guehi's potential Liverpool move could complicate Arsenal's pursuit of Eberechi Eze(Image: Getty)
Arsenal have been cautioned that Marc Guehi's potential transfer to Liverpool could obstruct their chances of signing Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, particularly if Arne Slot's team finalise a deal first.
But they have now received a warning regarding Palace captain Guehi and his potential move to Anfield.
talkSPORT reports that Eze's release clause expires on Friday evening.
This clause would permit a club to enter negotiations with the player for a fee of £60million plus approximately £8m in add-ons.
Arsenal have notified their London rivals that they will not be activating said clause, instead waiting until they can offload some players first, even though Eze is keen on a move to the Emirates, reports the Mirror.
Should Guehi leave Selhurst Park – possibly for Liverpool – before a deal for Eze is finalised, Arsenal might hit a snag.
The expectation is that Palace would be reluctant to let both key players go, potentially complicating any move for Eze if that takes more time.

Guehi, who is in the final year of his contract in south London, has made it known to the club this summer that he won't be signing a new deal, effectively pushing them towards selling him.
Slot's title-winning Reds, looking to strengthen their central defence, are seen as a probable destination.
Yet, Palace's current valuation of £40m exceeds what Liverpool are prepared to spend, especially since he could be available on a free transfer next summer.
However, if Liverpool manage to resolve these issues and secure Guehi before Arsenal advances on Eze, there's concern that Palace will batten down the hatches after losing one vital player and will be determined not to lose another.
This stance could also backfire on Liverpool if they prolong negotiations for Guehi.
