Liverpool have discovered their opening five fixtures of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

The fixture announcement comes less than two months after Liverpool’s triumphant 2024/25 season, where they dominated the Premier League under Slot’s guidance in his debut season.

The Dutch manager made history by becoming the first from his country to win the Premier League title, guiding Liverpool to 25 wins from 38 matches with just four defeats.

And with the transfer window looking very exciting for the Reds, many fans will be eagerly awaiting the start of next season.

Liverpool Football Club will begin their Premier League title defense with a home fixture against AFC Bournemouth on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 8:00 PM, the Premier League confirmed today as the full 2025/26 season fixtures were released.

The opening match at Anfield marks a change for the Reds, who had started their previous four campaigns on the road.

The last home opener came in the 2020-21 season when they faced Leeds United behind closed doors during the pandemic restrictions.

Liverpool’s first five Premier League fixtures for the 2025/26 season are:

Friday, August 15, 2025: AFC Bournemouth (Home) – 8:00 PM, televised on Sky Sports
Saturday, August 23, 2025: Newcastle United (Away)
Saturday, August 30, 2025: Arsenal (Home)
Saturday, September 13, 2025: Burnley (Away)
Saturday, September 20, 2025: Everton (Home)

The fifth match features the first Merseyside derby of the season, which will take on added significance as it will be Everton’s first season competing after leaving their historic Goodison Park home.

The match will see Liverpool host their local rivals with Everton now based at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Premier League has confirmed that the 2025/26 season will consist of 33 weekend rounds and five midweek match rounds.

The campaign will conclude on Sunday, May 24, 2026, when all matches kick off simultaneously as is the tradition.
