Liverpool’s starting line-up could be very different for their first Premier League fixture of the season.
The Reds will begin their campaign with a Friday Night Football encounter against Bournemouth on August 15.
There are already set to be some guaranteed changes to the club’s squad for their title defence.
In terms of exits, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Caoimhin Kelleher and Jarell Quansah have all departed, while Luis Diaz is also closing in on a move to Bayern Munich.
When it comes to incomings, the Reds have spent nearly £300m on recruiting Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Hugo Ekitike.

However, it appears that they aren’t finished there, and one name that continues to be linked with a move to Anfield is Alexander Isak.
The forward has been linked with a move to Merseyside after it was reported he was keen to explore a move away from Newcastle United this summer.
The Sweden international still has three years left on his contract at Newcastle, who he joined in the summer of 2022 from Real Sociedad, but has been absent from the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East.

However, one area of the pitch that plenty of Liverpool supporters believe needs addressing is centre-back.
Joe Gomez recently left the club’s pre-season tour due to injury, so Arne Slot is incredibly light on options, even if the boss is proud of his versatile midfielders who can step in.
Even if someone like Ryan Gravenberch can fill in at the heart of defence, Liverpool lose so much of what was good about their league-winning side if he or any other regular starter were to move position.
As previously reported by the ECHO, Marc Guehi is a player Liverpool like, but are unlikely to be drawn into a saga over the England international.
While multiple reports have tentatively linked the Reds with a move for former Leeds United academy graduate Charlie Cresswell.
The 22-year-old, who joined Toulouse last year, boasted the most passes made for his team (1531) with an 82 percent pass accuracy in Ligue 1 and was the division's best aerial dueller with 99 won.
However, when it comes to a side for the opening night of the season, although a number of last season's title-winning team are likely to feature, it will certainly have a different look to it.
Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz should all get the nod to start after arriving during the summer.
And given Isak has scored 54 goals in 86 appearances for the Magpies, should the Reds manage to get a deal over the line, then one suspects he could well be leading the line.
