Liverpool’s summer rebuild is gaining pace, but not every Premier League name in the headlines is a real target.

Despite being linked with several domestic talents, a report has now ruled out interest in three widely reported players.

After signing only one outfield player in the last three windows — Federico Chiesa — the club is finally ready to spend.

There are several key positions on the list.

Left-back, centre-back, striker, and possibly right-back if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves.

Because of this, the club has been linked with a long list of players.

But not every player mentioned in the media is actually on Liverpool’s radar.

Some names have been ruled out completely.

According to Daily Mail’s Merseyside reporter Lewis Steele, three Premier League players linked with Liverpool are not being considered.

“Reports have linked them with all and sundry in recent weeks, like Morgan Rogers, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap,” Steele wrote.

“But they – like many names that the rumour mill chugs out – are not on the shortlist at this stage.”

This report, if true, puts an end to stories connecting Liverpool with Aston Villa’s Rogers, Brighton’s Pedro, and Ipswich striker Delap.

Delap is still likely to move this summer, but not to Anfield.

Manchester United have made him their top striker target, and Chelsea are also in the race.

On the other hand, Liverpool are targeting Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez for left-back.

Steele confirmed the club is “courting” the Hungarian, who is valued at £45m.

If a deal isn’t reached, Ajax’s Jorell Hato “has also been discussed” internally.

At centre-back, Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen is on the list.

He has a £50m release clause, and several top clubs are interested.

If Luis Diaz ends up leaving — which isn’t expected — Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo is a possible replacement.

For now, Diaz wants a pay rise and will enter talks at the end of the season.
