Two Liverpool players have been shortlisted for the PFA Player of the Year award.
Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister were shortlisted for this year’s accolade alongside Bruno Fernandes, Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Declan Rice.
The pair’s inclusions came after starring roles for Arne Slot’s side as they helped clinch their 20th Premier League title at the end of the previous campaign.
Mac Allister featured in 35 of the Reds’ 38 top-flight games and earned April’s Player of the Month honour amid a run-in return of five goals and five assists.
Salah has already been crowned Player of the Season by Premier League and the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year following his standout season.
He also claimed the Golden Boot and Playmaker honours after a record-equalling 47 goal involvements while also starting all 38 league games for the Anfield club.
The winner of the PFA award will be announced at a ceremony on August 19.
