Liverpool have now ended their interest in Salford City wonderkid Will Wright.
The Reds had been locked in talks with the League Two outfit over a potential transfer for the 17-year-old.
But the ECHO understands Liverpool have now walked away from negotiations after exploring a potential deal.
The Reds had been suggested to be offering £300,000 fee in some sections, but as reported by the ECHO on Tuesday (July 16), their offer would have fallen below such a figure.
Liverpool's decision to now end their interest comes amid reports that Arsenal have hijacked their move for the teenager, with it suggested they have offered more than such a fee.

While nothing had been finalised by Liverpool and Salford, the Reds were always aware of interest from other clubs.
Brentford, Leicester City and Burnley have also monitored the 6ft 3in teenager, while the Daily Mail reported earlier this summer that Manchester City were set to rival the Reds for Wright’s signature.
But it now appears that the Gunners could be closing in on the teenage forward after Liverpool ended their interest.
Wright is now going into the second year of his scholarship with Salford, and was spotted playing for local sides Euxton Villa and Fylde only two years ago.
The 6ft 3 striker scored more than 50 goals at all levels for the club last season.
He ended up making four first-team appearances for Salford, who are managed by former Liverpool academy coach Karl Robinson, and was included in their matchday squad on 11 occasions.
Meanwhile, he has scored three times for the club’s first team so far during pre-season.
Speaking after netting a brace against FC United, Wright shared his gratitude at being granted first team opportunities with Salford.
“I feel great, I’m ready.
“Just to be even playing games, let alone training with the first team.
