The Times reports that United and Newcastle United displayed late interest.

Twelve months on, they are signing Leoni for far less than the £60million committed on Yoro.
Liverpool could end up signing Leoni and Marc Guehi for not much more than United paid for Yoro, too.
The former deal is more done than the latter, though, as Arne Slot acknowledged during his press conference on Thursday.
No, if you want to have any talks about him, you should go to [Crystal] Palace, to [Oliver] Glasner and ask his opinion about him."
