Newcastle responded with their own statement, denying his claims.
The 25-year-old striker continues to push for a move before the transfer window closes on September 1.
The Sweden international is keen to join Liverpool, but Newcastle rejected a £110m bid earlier this month.
Isak is now training separately from the first team and missed Newcastle’s opening Premier League match of the season.
He is also set to be absent when Newcastle face Liverpool on Monday.
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe says he has not seen or spoken to striker Alexander Isak for a week, calling the situation a “lose-lose.”
“I haven’t seen him this week but when I see him we speak as normal, there are no issues there,” said Howe.
“It’s a difficult situation from both sides and it’s far from ideal for both parties.
“When we bump into each other we speak, but as I say I’ve not seen him this week as he’s training later on and detached from the group.
“We will catch up at some stage and hopefully speak soon.”
Howe added: “He’s contracted to us, he’s our player.
But he won’t be and that’s regrettable.
“I have no doubt about how the players will feel?
Alex is a fantastic player, he’s a good person, a good character and a good lad,”
“If Alex wanted to come back and play for us, the players would welcome him.”
According to Lee Ryder of Chronicle Live, the Reds are expected to make one last bid for the Sweden star.
