Palace chairman Steve Parish is likely to demand around £40m for Guehi, who only has a year left on his contract and could depart for free next summer.

Having previously rejected around £70m for Guehi last summer, Parish conceded last week that they may need to sell as they cannot afford to let him go for nothing.

Liverpool's pursuit of striker Isak is a race against time, with the deal hanging in the balance as the Swedish forward reiterated his position to Newcastle directors this week.

Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes revealed that he hasn't spoken with Isak throughout the entire transfer saga.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Guimaraes said: "I haven't had any contact with him.

The club, the management, the owners are dealing with it, and I hope it gets sorted out in the best way.

"We're really missing our striker, a player who scored more than 20 goals in the Premier League last season, so of course he's someone we feel the absence of.
