As the summer transfer window chatter begins to fade, Liverpool's focus is shifting towards contract negotiations.

The spotlight has now shifted from transfers to contracts, particularly regarding potential extensions for some of the Reds' key players.

Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all set to be out of contract at the end of the season.



The Reds might see all three start negotiations over a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club as early as January.

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz's contract might also soon be up for discussion.

These terms, set to end next summer, would have made Salah the highest-paid player in the club's history.

Liverpool probably isn't feeling any pressure to extend Diaz's contract given how much time is left on it, but rumors of interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain over the summer might force their hand.

7 has started the season strong with three Premier League goals, including two against Manchester United.

If Diaz wants an extension, he'd be perfectly justified in asking for a raise given his recent performance and value to the team.

Whether he'll end up in the same pay bracket as Salah, though, is still up in the air.

The future of Salah, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk at Liverpool remains uncertain as it's unclear what their demands would be for contract extensions.
