Liverpool fans aimed two digs at Trent Alexander-Arnold as they booed him against Arsenal
Outgoing Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold was taunted with chants about Steven Gerrard and Conor Bradley as he was jeered by his own supporters while coming on against Arsenal on Sunday.
The right-back announced he was leaving the club on a free transfer this summer after a long association with his boyhood club ahead of an expected move to Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old's decision has sparked anger among Reds fans, who have accused him of being disloyal after starting his career at Anfield aged six.
He played the final 23 minutes of the 2-2 draw against Arsenal as Arne Slot continues to utilise him in his squad for the remainder of the season, with Liverpool already confirmed as champions.
But as he was waiting to be brought on by Slot, fans targeted him by chanting "there's only one Conor Bradley" and signing their iconic song about Steven Gerrard.
Academy prospect Bradley looks likely to replace Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool's first choice right-back, while Gerrard famously rejected opportunities to play for rival clubs during his time at Anfield - featuring 710 times for the team and being remembered as a legend.
Alexander-Arnold's contract uncertainty has been ongoing for the entire season and he has become the only player to depart out of a trio of key players whose contracts were running down.
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk opted to pen new deals.

"The thing I consider is I want to win a game of football and if we think we can win with Trent, I owe it to his team-mates and to the fans, because they (Liverpool) hired me to win as many games of football as possible.
"And if I think there's a better chance of winning with Trent, then I will (pick him).
But I think Trent showed today why I brought him in because he was very close with a few fantastic crosses for us to win the game."

However, Jamie Carragher feels Alexander-Arnold may have played his last game for the club as he scolded fans for booing him.
He said: "That could’ve been his last performance which might be the right thing as Liverpool don’t need a circus.
"I’m surprised how many [booed].
