Liverpool are on course to make some statement signings ahead of attempting to defend the title next season.
Despite the second transfer window still yet to open, the Reds appear to have already got their biggest business done early on.
Fabrizio Romano has officially confirmed that an agreement is in place between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz, with the German’s next step being a medical.
When that will be is yet to be confirmed and despite rumours that the deal is not finalised just yet, everything appears to still be going according to plan.
Liverpool fans will be eagerly awaiting the next update and his potential unveiling, with supporters all saying the same thing about when he might be announced.

After just announcing Dean Huijsen, Real Madrid are now set to officially unveil Trent Alexander-Arnold as their next signing, with this expected to be done on Thursday 12th June.
With this news, Liverpool fans are all in agreement that Wirtz will be done on the same day, just like the Reds did when announcing Jeremie Frimpong.

Another fan put: “Hahaha we’re actually going to officially announce Wirtz on Thursday when Alexander-Arnold has his stadium unveiling in Madrid, we’re just so petty and I love it.”
“I beg we announce Wirtz on the same day Trent is unveiled at Madrid,” a third fan added.
Another supporter wrote: “Can the club be petty enough to announce the Wirtz agreement tomorrow, the day Trent Alexander-Arnold gets unveiled in Madrid?
They did it with Frimpong the day Trent went!”
“We need to be petty and announce Wirtz on Thursday, the same day HE gets announced at Madrid,” a fifth put.
“We will announce Wirtz on Thursday when Madrid are announcing a RB that cannot defend,” another wrote.
One supporter jokingly put: “Whatever Liverpool does, just don’t announce Florian Wirtz on Thursday.
I’m kidding, announce him at the minute Alexander-Arnold enters the Bernabeu.”
“So I have a theory here folks.
Trent’s getting presented on Thursday, we are absolutely announcing Wirtz that day,” a final fan put followed by laughing emojis.
Granted, £126m is an astronomical fee for a player unproven in the Premier League, but all the indications are positive.

Statistically, he is very good and can both score and create goals, making him a hybrid between Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino.
German football experts rave about Wirtz too, with many believing that he suits the style of the Premier League and it would be no surprise to see him come in and hit the ground running.
Liverpool fans may be pessimistic given the hefty fee, but based on the Reds’ previous track record regarding recruitment, supporters should probably trust those higher up on this one.
