It is the first time since 2012 that the German company have been Liverpool’s kit suppliers, with Warrior, New Balance and Nike coming in between.

The home and away shirts have already been released and worn in matches, with most fans being rather happy with how things have turned out.

And now, the eagerly anticipated third shirt has arrived, and fans seem to all be saying the same thing about it.

With social media nowadays, it is almost impossible for clubs to keep their kits secret, with a leak of them bound to appear somewhere.

The third kit has been no different as the leak has turned out to be spot on, with Liverpool donning a green strip with a retro 90s look this season whenever they cannot wear the home or away jersey.

It is also safe to say that supporters absolutely adore it too, with many quick to leave their thoughts on social media.

A fourth supporter wrote: “Looks so clean — bit of nostalgia mixed with modern vibes.

Adidas and Liverpool just feels right together again.”

Another loved its simplicity, writing: “I’ll be getting this jersey.

Looks so simple yet well detailed and class.”

A sixth could not help but reminisce, putting: “Those green and yellow pinstripe away kits have always held a special place in my heart….

Adidas particularly seem to get the Green kits nailed.”

Another specifically liked the long sleeve style, writing: “Long-sleeve kits hit different, classic and stylish all the way,” while a final fan summed it up nicely by putting: “It’s beautiful.”

Liverpool’s trip to Turf Moor could see a few ‘firsts’ occur, with one that is definitely happening being that they will don this green strip on Sunday afternoon.

As well as this shirt making its debut, Alexander Isak could do, with the Swede finally a Red after months of speculation.

Liverpool’s new number nine featured for Sweden on Monday night but only managed the last 18 minutes, suggesting he is a long way from full match fitness.

However, he might just make the bench and perhaps get a small run out, although the chances of this happening are rather slim.
