Alexander Isak is away on international duty with Sweden(Image: AFP via Getty Images)Liverpool supporters won't get to hear from new signing Alexander Isak before Sweden's first game of the international break.
He was still made to wait until the last minute to get his move, with Newcastle adding new forwards Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa in the final days of the window.
As reported by Swedish outlet Fotboll Skanalen, Sweden press manager Petra Thoren has said Isak will not carry out press duties ahead of the Slovenia game.
Part of this, Thoren said, is because the striker joined up late with his international colleagues and is focused on his preparations for the match.
The same publication points to an "ongoing dialogue" between Isak and Sweden's press team.
This means Isak may take part in press duties at a later point during the international break, but nothing is guaranteed.
Sweden's match against Slovenia is part of a double-header as Jon Dahl Tomasson's side begin their World Cup qualifying campaign.
Switzerland are the fourth team in their group, with the winners progressing directly to the 2026 World Cup and the runners-up going through the play-offs.
