Liverpool fans were furious after Virgin Media froze during the first game of the Premier League season at Anfield.
Viewers were met with a heavily pixelated screen during the Liverpool v Bournemouth clash this evening.
Liverpool FC fans took to social media to rant as the technical malfunction caused disruption for more than 15 minutes, with many fans missing Hugo Ekitike's 37th minute goal.
One viewer said: "About 15 minutes into the match the screen started to pixilate and was unwatchable.
"First match of the season ruined.
Unacceptable when paying £120 a month for the service."
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Andy Lycett said: "Anyone else’s virgin media gone all squiffy?
30 mins into the football and Virgin Media fails on TV and online!

"We pay all that money plus extra for sky sports and this happens on the first match of the season.
"Rebooted tv box and Wi-Fi and still no picture, just pixelating badly."
Another added: "Virgin please sort your problem out - I've rebooted my TV and it's still having problems."
Replying to users on X, Virgin Media said: "Hello, we're aware of an issue affecting Sky Sports at the moment.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused and we'll aim to resolve as soon as possible."
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: "We’re aware some customers are experiencing issues with their TV services at the moment and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
"Our teams are working to establish the root cause as a priority and we will restore services to normal as soon as possible."
