Liverpool supporters' union Spirit of Shankly (SOS) have outlined four steps they'll like to see club owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) take after they held their first talks since the club's doomed attempt to join the European Super League.

Liverpool, along with five other Premier League clubs, tried to sign up to the new league last month, only for all to reverse their decision just 48 hours later in the wake of mounting fan protests and anger from every corner of the game.

John Henry, the principal owner of FSG, apologised for the move and said that he himself was to blame for the desire to join the Super League.

But angry fans would like more of an explanation over what FSG plan to do next, with Spirit of Shankly sitting down with Reds chief executive Billy Hogan and club representatives on Tuesday.

The four steps SOS would like to see now are, as per their statement: Last Sunday's meeting between Manchester United and Liverpool at Old Trafford was postponed amid United fans' mounting protests against the club's owners the Glazers.

There isn't yet that level of anger against FSG at Liverpool, although supporters are sure to be noting the developments from this meeting with interest.
