The Reds’ busy summer in the transfer market is officially over, meaning their existing first-team squad is the one they will have to use until at least January.
Some still have a point to prove, whether they be new or old, with this a period where they can prove to Arne Slot why they should be a part of his team when they come back.
Two players who have played a lot at the start of the new campaign are Milos Kerkez and Dominik Szoboszlai, with the two Hungarians now away together on international duty.
Both have points to prove in very different ways, with one looking to show that his shaky start was just a blip, while the other showing why he should be one of the first names on the team sheet.
For Hungary, both can do this as they are certainly the stars of the team, and their performance against Ireland has left Liverpool fans with a lot to say.

Although both are excellent players in their own right at club level, when they go off to play for Hungary, they seem to reach another level.
Granted, their quality of teammates and opposition are not as good as it would be when playing for Liverpool, but a lot of credit is still needed to be given due to their consistency.

And, on Saturday night against Ireland, they proved once again why they are capable of playing in the Premier League, with Liverpool fans impressed with how well they did.
One fan wrote: “Both Szoboszlai and Kerkez have been fantastic,” while another added: “Szoboszlai and Kerkez putting in crazy crosses here,” followed by two flame emojis.
A third fan was left very impressed by both, putting: “Szoboszlai is the shining light in this Hungary team.
Him and Kerkez.”

Another was particularly keen to point out Kerkez’s performance, adding: “Incredible cross by Kerkez, Arne Slot needs to put him further up the pitch!”
A fifth put: “Szoboszlai is the magician and Kerkez has been a rock at the back,” while a sixth wrote: “Anyone else watching Ireland vs Hungary?
We’re so lucky to have Szoboszlai and Kerkez.”
A sixth believes Szoboszlai is also the future of the Liverpool team, writing: “Szoboszlai’s future is still on the left side of our pivot, WOW, he is so, so good.
Some of these passes man.”
A final fan wrote: “The chemistry between Kerkez and Szoboszlai is the reason why they have to start together.
Szoboszlai played as a deep-lying playmaker against Ireland, another role where he also shined, giving Liverpool yet another option.
