Ryan Gravenberch won the Man of the Match award for the second league game in a row.

Arne Slot has firmly established himself as one of the best managers in England, with the Dutchman well respected for his ability to win football games.

Another thing he deserves a lot of credit for is how he gets the best out of his players and how he can turn them from decent individuals to absolute world-beaters.

Ryan Gravenberch is the best example of this as ever since he moved him into a holding midfielder role, he has just gone from strength to strength.

And if he was not exceptional last season, he seems to have gone to another level entirely, with Liverpool fans all making one very bold claim about him.

The Reds may have a plethora of attacking talent, but one of the most important players in the team right now is Gravenberch.

When he is not playing, his absence is felt, and when he is in the team, his talent is clear for all to see, just as he proved again during the Merseyside derby with his ‘magical’ goal.

With that said, many rival fans are starting to realise just how good he is, but Reds supporters have known this for a while and even believe that he is one of the best right now.

One fan wrote on X: “Ryan Gravenberch being one of the best midfielders in the world doesn’t get talked about enough.”

A second added: “Gravenberch is the best midfielder in the Premier League.

Simple as that,” while another took it one step further by saying: “Gravenberch is the best midfielder in Europe right now.”

A fourth even went the whole hog and believes there is no one better, simply writing: “Gravenberch is the best midfielder on the planet.”

Another admitted his opinion is constantly changing; he is that good, saying: “Getting motion sickness from shifting my narrative from Gravenberch being the best 6 in the world, to the best midfielder in the world, to the single greatest player of all time in such a short space of time.”

A sixth agrees that he is the best and cannot believe he makes it look so easy, saying: “Not a better midfielder in world football than Ryan Gravenberch.

Stole that transfer hands down!” while a final one believes Liverpool need to give him a new contract as soon as possible, saying: “He’s great at everything, tie him down for life.”

Gravenberch has established himself into one of the most important players in the team, with Virgil van Dijk even admitting he tries to pass him the ball all the time as he is in the form of his life.

Despite his importance, though, he needs his minutes managed to avoid a burnout, something he endured to some extent towards the end of last season.

So, for that reason, Slot has already confirmed that Gravenberch will not play against Southampton in the League Cup on Tuesday, making him one of five guaranteed not to be in the squad.
