All of Liverpool’s new signings got to play at Anfield for the first time in their final pre-season friendly.
The Reds have finished their final preparations for the new season with a 3-2 win against Athletic Bilbao in front of a sold out home crowd.
Arne Slot would have certainly liked what he saw as some of the patterns of play his team produced were nothing short of sensational, with the fans left in awe after some of their attacks.
Anfield debuts were handed out too and Jeremie Frimpong is one of those who got a taste of what next season will feel like, and it is fair to say he excelled.
The right-back got his first start of pre-season and based on what Liverpool fans have been saying, they clearly believe that this will be just one of many.

When Trent Alexander-Arnold decided to leave this summer, fans were worried about who would replace him, mainly because, whether fans like it or not, he is near-irreplaceable.
However, somehow, Liverpool appear to have done a very good job, with Frimpong laying down a real marker on his first Anfield start in the famous Red shirt.
One fan put on X after seeing his performance: “And when you pray tonight, pray for all left-backs in the league.
That Salah x Frimpong link on the right flank is dangerous.”

Another wrote: “Was always a big fan of Frimpong’s signing.
What a player,” while a third added: “I’m so happy Salah got Frimpong.
I remember when Trent used to get dusted and Salah was the one covering.”

A fourth fan wrote: “Frimpong’s first touch and close control is outrageously good considering his speed and ability to accelerate.”
Another supporter put: “Frimpong knows how to link up very well,” while another summed up his performance nicely by writing: “I love what I’m seeing from Jeremie Frimpong.”
A seventh believes he has improved those around him too, adding: “Frimpong is a breath of fresh air down that right hand side.
Even Salah is looking better.”
A final supporter showed that he has fears over Conor Bradley’s spot, putting: “Bradley picked the wrong time to be injured because Frimpong is already pushing to be the starter this season.”
Not only has Frimpong made a real case as to why he should be the starting right-back, but he may have just earned his spot in the team for their Community Shield game against Crystal Palace.
This is mainly due to Bradley picking up another slight injury, hence why he did not feature in either of Liverpool’s games against Bilbao, with Slot confirming that ‘it will be tight’ for the Northern Irishman to be back in time.
However, the Dutchman is more than adept at taking the reins and fans will now be even more excited for him to play, with Palace’s left-hand side perhaps a little more worried.
The competition at right-back is certainly fierce, but the 24-year-old could now have a run of games and make it very difficult for Bradley to make a return.
