Alexander Isak made his long-awaited Liverpool debut against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Isak’s Liverpool debut is perhaps one of the most anticipated debuts for any player ever.

And, although there were times when it felt like a move wouldn’t come to fruition, in the end, a £125million bid was enough to convince Newcastle to let him go.

That is, at least according to a report from Liverpool ECHO journalist, Beth Lindop.

“Big cheer from the Kop as Alexander Isak absolutely hammers the ball into the back of the net during the warm-up,” she wrote.

“They’ll be hoping for more of that in about half-an-hour’s time.”

One of the main questions that has been brought up about Liverpool this season is how both Isak and Hugo Ekitike are going to be kept happy.

And, although Isak may have cost Liverpool £125million, the recent form that Ekitike has shown will no doubt make it hard for the Sweden international to continue beating him to a starting spot.

Of course, Wednesday’s game against Atletico was the first of many for Isak, and there’s plenty more to come, but on the face of things, it’s clear that Liverpool are going to have some problems between who’s starting this season.
