Flowers and messages of tribute to footballer Diogo Jota continue to be laid at Anfield stadium today after if was announced that the Liverpool FC player had died in a car accident.
Jota signed for Liverpool FC from Wolves back in September 2020.
He won the Premier League last season, as well as winning the FA Cup and League Cup while at Anfield.
Tributes continue to be paid outside Anfield today, with many fans and residents leaving flowers, LFC jerseys, scarves and more in his memory.
Flags at Anfield and Liverpool Town Hall have been lowered to half mast following the tragic death of Liverpool forward and his brother.
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner has also laid floral tributes outside Anfield.
As hundreds of devastated Liverpool fans came together to remember the striker, Ms Rayner laid a red and white bouquet outside the ground alongside Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram.
