It’s safe to say Liverpool have been coasting a little since winning the title on April 27th.
The title had effectively been the Reds’ for months, with closest competitors Arsenal miles off the pace.
The latest game, a 2-2 draw with the Gunners, epitomised the strange vibe of playing out the season with no stakes.
It even took a turn when Trent Alexander-Arnold was booed in his first Anfield game since announcing he’d be leaving the club.

Trent’s booing has been the only real negative since the title was secured, with the fans’ reaction provoking some of the players.
However, the general mood has been that of celebration – for players, fans and staff alike.
One person definitely not excluded from that is Arne Slot, whose recent antics have gone viral.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been spotted living it up in Ibiza, after flying to the party island for a short break.

That was recognised in the Balearic island, with Slot being serenaded with Queen’s song ‘We Are The Champions’.
The Reds manager also mingled among celebrities, with EastEnders star Dean Gaffney posting a picture of him.
Wayne Lineker also got involved, sharing a photo with Slot at Lineker’s O Beach resort on the island.

One supporter reacted jokingly: “We’re not gonna win a single game are we.”
Another responded to that with: “I’m not complaining let the boys party HARD.”
Another Red envisaged the vibe after the latest match: “I can only imagine after the Arsenal game at the weekend Slot gathers up the team and says ‘right see you all next Monday for the Brighton game yeah?’ And they all hop on their planes for a week wherever.”
While one fan laid out the biggest test remaining for Liverpool players this season: “The only real challenge left is the hangovers.”
