One of the biggest cheers of Liverpool's Premier League trophy ceremony was reserved for Trent Alexander-Arnold as he went up to collect his winner's medal on the pitch at Anfield.

Just a fortnight ago, Alexander-Arnold faced jeers when he came off the bench against Arsenal after confirming he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

However, there was to be no repeat of that vitriol on the day of Liverpool's coronation, as Alexander-Arnold was cheered while he warmed up during the first half and at half-time, before he was introduced for the second half, putting in a stellar performance.

And after the game, as Liverpool's players were being individually called up to the podium to collect their winner's medals, Alexander-Arnold received the loudest cheer of anybody.

That was before the names of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk were read out, and they both received a similar reception to Alexander-Arnold.
