Liverpool fans are all in agreement after being left impressed by Milos Kerkez's work ethic in a new pre-season training video.

The Reds signed Kerkez from Bournemouth for around £40million in June, with the left-back penning a five-year contract with the Anfield side.

The 21-year-old became their third major acquisition of the summer transfer window, following the arrival of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.

Kerkez made his debut off the bench during Sunday's highly emotional pre-season friendly against Preston North End, which ended in a 3-1 victory.

Although he was only introduced at half time, the Hungary international was able to show glimpses of his lofty potential.

And with preparation for the 2025/26 campaign underway, Liverpool supporters have had another opportunity to observe their new defender, as the club posted a video from Tuesday's session at the AXA Training Centre on social media.

Kerkez was one of the several new arrivals involved, and viewers were quick to point out his eye-catching intensity and work rate.

That was clear to see as he engaged in intense gym work before excelling in a small-sided game, where he managed an impressive tackle on Dominik Szoboszlai.

One Reds fan pointed out on YouTube: “Kerkez’s intensity is crazy even in training you can see his commitment,” while another commented: “His footwork is insane.”

A third added: “Kerkez looks like a serious athlete,” while a fourth chimed in with: “Kerkez is a beast.” Others commented: “He can potentially be the world’s best left-back,” and: “The best signing so far for me.”

Kerkez enjoyed a breakthrough 2023/24 season at Bournemouth, racking up 41 appearances last year while featuring in every Premier League match.

He was brought in by the reigning Premier League champions to challenge Andy Robertson, whose form was up and down last season and was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer.

Kerkez, who is known for his blistering speed and attacking skills, said upon joining Liverpool: "It's a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, [the] biggest club in England.

I'm just really, really happy and excited.

"After this, I'll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can't really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season."

With 23 caps for Hungary under his belt and having been selected in the Premier League Fan Team of the Season for 2024/25, Kerkez played a key role in Bournemouth’s ninth-placed league finish.
