Virgil van Dijk was in high spirits as the Liverpool open top bus parade kicked off, following the Reds' Premier League victory presentation on Sunday.

After a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace at home, Arne Slot's team finally got their hands on the trophy, a month after securing the title with a resounding win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

The trophy celebrations extended into the Bank Holiday Monday, with the squad parading through the city on an open top bus, sharing their joy with the fans.



The parade began at 2.30pm GMT, with the Reds squad joined on the bus by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.

Harris, who had been present at Anfield on Sunday to witness Liverpool lift the Premier League trophy, was also a special guest on the team bus during the last open top bus tour through the city in 2022, following the Champions League final.

As the tour commenced, Van Dijk was seen standing next to Harris, who donned a retro Liverpool tracksuit top and provided the musical entertainment.

The Reds captain was clearly enjoying himself, spotted dancing enthusiastically and waving to supporters.

Prior to the parade, Van Dijk took to social media to reflect on a memorable weekend, having become only the second Liverpool captain to lift the Premier League trophy.
