According to CIES' Football Observatory, Wirtz is currently ranked as the 10th most valuable player globally, with Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Chelsea's Cole Palmer among those ranked higher.
However, this won't deter Liverpool from pursuing their plans to bring Wirtz to Anfield, potentially making him the most expensive signing in Premier League history.

CIES' report lists Barcelona's Lamine Yamal as the world's most valuable player, with a staggering £338M ($458.5M) price tag, followed by Haaland at £201M ($272.7M) and England's Jude Bellingham, now at Real Madrid, valued at £197M ($267.3M).
Kylian Mbappe follows him, valued at £162.1M ($220M), with Jamal Musiala next in line at £130M ($176.4M), then Pedri at £121M ($164.2M) and Real's Vinicius Jr rated at £110M ($149.3M) ahead of £106.5M ($144.5M) Palmer
The next Premier League player is Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, valued at £97M ($131.6M), closely followed by Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers (£96.2M / $130.5M)
The top 100 includes 41 Premier League players - with unexpected entries such as Liverpool's underperformer Darwin Nunez (£51.5M / $69.9M) and Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen (£54M / $73.3M).
