Liverpool might have to accept offers for Ibrahima Konate as the French defender has reportedly rejected a new contract from the club.
Konate’s current Liverpool deal runs until 2026, but the player seems unhappy with the terms.
His contract currently earns him only £70k per week — a figure much lower than many Premier League defenders and even his Liverpool teammates.
His centre-back partner and club captain, Virgil van Dijk, is among the highest earners at Liverpool, reportedly making nearly £320k per week.
Earlier this year, the club extended the contracts of both Van Dijk and Egyptian star Mohamed Salah until 2027.
As per Football Insider, Konate didn’t like the offer tabled by Liverpool and rejected the new deal.
The club now faces the risk of losing him for free in 2026 if they fail to cash in soon.
