Jeremie Frimpong said it is a childhood dream to be able to train at facilities like Liverpool's AXA Training Centre after completing his switch from Bayer Leverkusen earlier this month.
Just days after winning the Premier League, Liverpool pressed ahead with a move for the Netherlands international and quickly triggered the £29.5m release clause in his contract at the BayArena.
The 24-year-old, who had spent time on Manchester City's books as a teenager, officially joined the Premier League champions on June 1, the same day Trent Alexander-Arnold headed to Real Madrid after the La Liga outfit coughed up a £10m fee.
But even before arriving on Merseyside for the first time last month, Frimpong was no stranger to the new surroundings he would be calling home.
In fact, the day after Leverkusen's 4-0 defeat at Anfield last November, Liverpool invited the then reigning Bundesliga champions to use the facilities at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby.

Liverpool officially moved to their £50m, state-of-the-art training complex in November 2020 after more than 70 years at Melwood.
Now, new behind-the-scenes of Frimpong's first days as a Liverpool player have revealed how impressed he was on his first trip to the training complex in Kirkby at the back end of 2024.

“We came to the training ground after the match when we played against Liverpool, so I’ve seen it," said the defender after undergoing his medical.
This is what every kid dreams of: facilities like this.
“I’m just blessed to be here.”
Frimpong could soon be joined at Anfield by his former Leverkusen team-mate Florian Wirtz as Liverpool remain locked in negotiations with the Bundesliga outfit.

The Reds have had multiple bids rejected for the 22-year-old so far - the last valued at £113m - as Leverkusen continue to hold out for a fee closer to £126m.
Wirtz has two years remaining on his current deal.
